Calhoun Student Named Cross Country Champion
Grace Moore was recently recognized by the Bellmore-Merrick CHSD for her accomplishments.
Grace Moore, a sophomore at Calhoun High School, was recognized for her Nassau County Cross-Country Championship performance at a recent Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District meeting.
Moore finished first at the Nassau County Section VIII Girls Class County Cross-Country Championships in October and competed alongside her All-Division team at the state qualifying meet, winning the Class A race.
She also earned All-State honors, as she finished in the top 20 and was awarded with the Sportsmanship Promotion Award for Nassau County Section 8.
Toward the end of her season, Moore qualified for the New York Federation Cross-Country Championships, competing against the best runners in the state.
