Bellmore residents supported the school district’s budget of $31,503,146 million Tuesday night.
The 2011-12 budget, which carries a 3.89 percent tax levy increase, received 879 yes votes and 551 no votes.
This represents a 2.27 percent increase over last year's.

School Board incumbent Jay L.T. Breakstone ran unopposed and was re-elected to the school board. Breakstone received 838 votes.
