North Bellmore BOE Continues Superintendent Search

Editor's Note: The following was posted on the North Bellmore School District's website.

The Board of Education of the North Bellmore School District seeks an outstanding educator, possessing a strong knowledge of elementary education, to serve the 2168 students housed in five schools. The district is located on the south shore of Long Island in Nassau County, New York.

Requirements:

• Successful background as a Superintendent, Asst. Superintendent or commensurate experience and New York State Certification (or eligibility) as a School District Administrator.

Must possess:  

• An understanding of the legal and financial aspects of operating a school system within New York State.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work closely with staff, parents, community and Board of Education.

Salary and benefits are competitive for the Long Island region. Screening of candidates will begin Feb. 25. The starting date for the position will be July 1.
