John F. Kennedy High School recently announced the recipients of the Cougars as Role Model Americans (C.A.R.M.A.) awards for the second quarter of the school year.

Seniors Ross Feldman and Shari Paltrowitz were recognized for their outstanding community service activities.

Ross actively volunteers at Sunrise Day Camp, where children with cancer are offered a sense of normalcy beyond hospital walls, while Shari organized a youth group called Playback that performs at senior living homes. Playback uses music to connect with senior citizens with over one hundred fifteen teens performing in musical ensembles.
