Bellmore-Merrick CHSD to Host Post-Prom Party

The district has hosted the event for five years.

The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District will host its Midnight Madness Post-Prom Party on June 21, according to a LI Herald article.

The event, for seniors and their dates, serves as an option for students looking for a safe after-prom event that is done in an alcohol- and drug-free environment. The party includes prizes, music, free breakfast and a photo booth.

Due to continual fundraising by the Bellmore-Merrick Wellness Council and a Nassau County Traffic Safety Board grant secured by County Legislator Dave Denenberg, the event will take place for its fifth year, according to the LI Herald.

Fran Licausi, executive director of the Wellness Council told the LI Hearld that the community’s donations in money and merchandise has been a great help in the past, but support is still needed.

“We need all the support we can get,” Licausi said. “It’s for the seniors to keep them safe on prom night.”
