Anthony J. Califano, formerly of North Bellmore, died on Jan. 1 at 69.
He is the former Town of Hempstead's Highway Commissioner.
He was the husband of Grace and father of Barbara Badler and Christina Califano.
Additionally, he was the stepfather of Anna Bliss and Julia Kelly. Her was the brother of Francis, Grace Tamburrino and Michael.
He also had nine grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Marinello Funeral Home, in Coram on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret of Scotland Church. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury.
