Reinhard Gives Back to Those in Need

Students participated in two fundraisers to benefit the community.

In the spirit of giving back, the Student Advisory Council (SAC) at the Reinhard Early Childhood Center recently sponsored two fundraisers.

Students participated in the Neighborhood Cleaner’s Association and Assemblyman David McDonough’s “Coats for Kids” campaign.

The SAC collected new and gently used coats for children and adults,  which were cleaned and distributed to those in need.

Following the devastation in the Philippines caused by Typhoon Haiyan, students sponsored a “pajama day," in which they donated $1 each to wear a pajama top or bottom or to bring in a favorite stuffed animal.

The money raised was donated to Oxfam America: Relief and Recovery Fund, which gives 100 percent of all donations to those in need.
