Decked Out Inc. Celebrates Ribbon Cutting

On Oct. 19, the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to welcome Decked Out Inc. (formerly April’s Kids) into their membership and the community.

April’s Kids was established in 2002. April always had a dream of owning her own store and set out to do so even though everyone around her thought it was a terrible idea. The initial location was set in the Bellmore Village under the name April’s Fine Baby Apparel.

Though, originally geared toward infants clothing, April quickly realized there was a need for a “one stop shopping” establishment in Children’s Special Occasion Wear.

A few years later, April focused on making that change; relocated the business just a few miles away and began “April’s Kids.” April continued on as owner for the next 10 years, and then she decided it was time to move on.

In March, Nicole Montiglio took over the business, hoping to breathe new life into the decade old business. Since the change of ownership, Decked Out Inc. has gone through a transition while still keeping the core importance of what originally made it successful.

Their main goal is accommodating every customer’s needs to the absolute best of their ability.

“We strive to keep our customers happy and content,” Montiglio said. “Now with the interior of the store completely re-done as well as a renewed product line, [Decked Out Inc.] has grown up and matured!”

“We offer a wide range of products for that “special event” in your child’s life,” she added. “We service children ranging from newborn to teen. There is no longer a need to go bouncing from store to store as here, you can dress your child from head to toe!

Decked Out Inc. is located at 2886 Merrick Rd. For more information, please call 516-785-5842.

Natalie. I am so sorry to read this. I too have a little 5 yr. old dog who I love desperately...Read More and I feel your pain. There is another website for an organization that does an amazing job finding lost pets. It's LOSTMYDOGGIE.COM There is a small fee, but they get signs up all over the area and have a phone system set up where everyone in the area of where she was lost gets a PHONE CALL ALERT message to watch for Molly. They leave a phone number and their website address so if anyone has seen her or has her they know where to call. Great system! Check it out! I've never used them, but I HAVE received calls myself recently on 2 separate lost dogs and I've seen the many photos they hung up in my area in Levittown for dogs lost within a few miles of this area. In other words, they DO what they say they will do to help find Molly. Just want you to know what is out there to help you bring Molly home. My grandkids go to school around Grand and Camp Ave. We'll be watching for her! God Bless and good luck! I'm sure she will be returned to you real soon!!
