With money being tight, the residents of Bellmore are looking to save money wherever they can, and the gas pump is no exception.
Here's a look at the cheapest and most expensive gas prices around the Bellmore area, according to GasBuddy.com.
If you're looking for regular fuel, Shamrock, located at 2688 North Jerusalem Rd., has the best buy at $3.63 per gallon. Hess,located at 2670 Merrick Rd., has the most expensive gas in Bellmore at $3.75 per gallon.

Shamrock is also the best place to go if you're seeking midgrade gas, as they are offering it for $3.75 per gallon. Once again, Hess has the priciest fuel in the area in this category as well, as they are selling midgrade for $4.09 per gallon.
Shamrock once again would be the most cost effective choice for premium fuel, as they are marketing it at $3.85 per gallon. Mobil, located at 2798 Merrick Rd., is the most expensive in the area at $4.21 per gallon.
Lastly, the cheapest diesel fuel can be found at Valero, located at 1455 Sunrise Highway, at $4.23 per gallon. The most expensive fuel is at Hess once again, where premium fuel is going for $4.49 per gallon.

Has anybody proposed dismantling the high school district......From the way I understand they have tried unsuccessfully to combine, well then how about saving moneu and splitting up the 3 high schools...This was we wont need 2 administrations...... I will try and I will think out of the box!

I'm sorry that your neighbors make more than you but like anything else you get what you pay for there are educational requirements for teaching and administration jobs, I'm sure you would be happy if all the school personnel could be replaced by minimum wage earners or better yet we could close all the schools after all you have been out of school for 40 years so you don't need them anymore, but thats not how it works. Why is always the uninformed that speak loudest and longest?

Who is getting all the money??? Its all bull.. aI live inbetween teachers.. how is it they can afford high end cars, housekeepers, landscapers, ect??????... the money is being spent in the WRONG WAYS TO THE TEACHERS, AND MOST OF ALL THE ADMISTRATION, THE SCHOOL BOARD ECT... I AM CALLING FOR A MASSIVE AUDIT AND GET0 per year.. they afe not worth any more then that.. THE MONEY BACK FROM ANYONE WHO WAS PAID MORE THEN $75,00....
