Bellmore Chamber Awarding Scholarships to 3 High School Students

Recipients to be presented $500 checks at Wednesday night's Bellmore Chamber of Commerce meeting.

The Bellmore Chamber of Commerce is awarding $500 scholarships to three deserving local high school students.

The Chamber is scheduled to present checks to the three scholarship recipients during its Wednesday night meeting scheduled at the Vamps Club. Receiving the scholarships will be Ryan Chand (Mepham), Stephanie Cillo (Calhoun) and Amanda Rabinowitz (Kennedy).

“To meet the criteria for the Chamber’s Scholarship Award, the student must have achieved academic success to the best of his or her ability, must exhibit good character and be active in school and community activities. The recipient should also be planning to pursue a career in business.”

Wednesday night’s meeting is scheculed to begin at 7 p.m. in the Vamps Club located on 1500 Newbridge Road. A catered buffet will be presented by Piccolo Ristorante.
