3. Hofstra Teams Up With Bellmore-Merrick CHSD For New Internship Program: Hofstra University’s School of Education has launched a new paid internship program that gives student teachers an opportunity to intern in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.

2. Bellmore First Responder to be Honored: John Curley, a New York City Firefighter and volunteer at the Bellmore Fire Department  was honored by the Firemen's Association of the State of New York (FASNY) on Friday for rescuing a woman from her home, which was engulfed in flames.

1. Update: Lost Dog in Bellmore Found: Bosco, a 3-year-old bernese mountain dog went missing from his home on Monday, but was found on Tuesday.
