Sept. 7: 9/11 Rememberance Ceremony, EASEL Exhibition

Some things to keep an eye on in the local community.

  1. The 10-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks is approaching. Nassau County will honor those who lost their lives tonight at the County 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at Eisenhower Park at 1899 Hempstead Tpke in East Meadow at 7 p.m.
  2. With the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 approaching, Patch wants to know how 9/11 changed you. Email your local editor for more information.
  3. Need to relax? Go to Happy Hour at Menna's Main Event at 361 Merrick Ave. in Merrick from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is open to all.
  4. Need a job? Or are you simply wanting to change jobs. Check out Jobs in Bellmore on Bellmore Patch.
  5. An exhibition of paintings from the Experienced Art Students Enrichment League (EASEL), sponsored by the Town of Hempstead will open today at the Bellmore Memorial Library. The exhibit will be on display during regular library hours through Sept. 30.
