Fuschillo Secures State Funding For Bellmore Library

The funding will help the library purchase new technology devices.

Senator Charles Fuschillo, R-Merrick, recently announced that he secured $5,000 in state funding for new computer technology at the Bellmore Memorial Library.

“The Bellmore Memorial Library is a valuable community resource which provides a host of different services to residents," Fuschillo said. "This new technology will allow the library to further expand these services and better serve the Bellmore community."

The funding will help the library purchase computer hardware and software for its teen space, including a new computer and iPads. Reference staff will also use the iPads to instruct patrons on how to use library resources.

Bellmore Memorial Library Director Maureen Garvey said that she appreciates Fuschillo's efforts.

“On behalf of the Bellmore Memorial Library, I would like to express our appreciation for Senator Fuschillo’s assistance," Garvey said. "Our goal is to provide the best service we can to our patrons and this funding will assist us in that goal."
