Students Unharmed in School Bus Accident

The Levittown district bus was reportedly rear-ended on its way to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Bellmore.

Three elementary and middle school students were aboard a Levittown School District school bus when it was involved in an accident while headed to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School in Bellmore Monday morning.

The accident occurred on Sunrise Highway east of Wantagh Avenue in Wantagh.

"No one was injured," said Cathy Rust of the Levittown School District Transportation Department.

Rust was at the scene when the school's principal arrived and the children were released and brought safely to school.

"There was no damage to the bus," she said.

Rust said she believes the accident was caused when the school bus was rear-ended by a sedan.
