Got Cupcakes? Hosts First Annual Cupcake Eating Contest

More than 50 spectators and 20 participants show up for first annual competition.

Got Cupcakes? hosted its first annual cupcake eating contest on Sunday afternoon in the heart of Bellmore Village.

The cupcake bakery made 124 cupcakes for the free competition, most of which were devoured by a horde of hungry residents from three different age groups.

The winner of the junior division was Christopher Hamm, the winner of the U-16 division was Joaquin Pallanza, and the winner of the adult division was Mike Savarese.

Hamm, 11, ate his cupcake in a record 54 seconds! Pallanza, 16, ate his six cupcakes in two minutes and 47 seconds! Savarese ate his 12 cupcakes in four minutes 27 seconds.
