Bellmore Dental Assistant Charged With Stealing from Patient

Allegedly stole woman's wallet and used her credit card.

Seventh Squad detectives reported the arrest of a Levittown woman who allegedly stole a wallet from a patient on April 20 while working as a dental assistant in Bellmore.

According to detectives, Amanda Henderson, 23, of Levittown, removed a purse from the pocketbook of a 76-year-old female patient at the office.

After an investigation, Seventh Squad detectives determined that the defendant used the victim's credit card at several Levittown stores, making over $700 in purchases. The defendant was arrested after she surrendered at the Seventh Precinct in Seaford.

Henderson was charged with Grand Larceny 4th, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th, and Identity Theft 2nd. She was arraigned yesterday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police would not release the name of the dental practice.
