NBNM Little League Seeking Help Identifying Vandals

North Bellmore North Merrick Little League (NBNMLL) officials are looking for help in identifying those responsible for vandalizing the clubhouse at Saw Mill Road School.

According to Christopher Pekoff, the chairman of the board, the incident took place on March 28, and both the east and south side of the clubhouse were vandalized with red and white paint.

Nassau County Police and school officials were notified.

“A couple of us went over there to see if we could get it off ourselves,” Pekoff said. “We were scrubbing it with graffiti remover.”

The problem, Pekoff said, the paint got ingrained into the block of the building. He said that a company is due to stop by Friday to attempt to remove the paint as well. If that’s unsuccessful, Pekoff said that the little league might have to repaint the whole building. The little league would have to foot the bill.

The assailants graffitied the south and east side of the building with mostly red paint, and a little white paint as well. They also spray-painted across the roof. On the east side of the building, the perpetrators spray-painted a red picture of a male’s private.

They also tagged the building with the letters “T12” in a couple of different spots, Pekoff said. That stands for “Twisted 12”, which was written on the clubhouse’s roof.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call their local precinct or the North Bellmore School District at 516-992-3000.
