Bellmore Residents Arrested in Connection With Alleged Drug Sale

Two residents from the Bellmores were arrested along with three other people in connection with an alleged drug sale in Wantagh early Friday morning, police said.

Cops patrolling the area spotted a 2011 Hyundai parked at the intersection of Mayer and May Roads in Wantagh at 12:55 a.m.

They saw Michael Myers, 20 of North Massapequa allegedly exchanging what appeared to be a clear plastic bag with a  leafy brown substance and cash with another man.

Police stopped the vehicle and found Myers putting the bag in his pants pocket. He also had three clear capsules and a switchblade, cops said.

He was charged with weapons possession, criminal possession of marijuana  and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police said three Roxicodone pills and a brown powdery substance, which was believed to be heroin  were discovered in the car. They arrested the driver, Adriana R. Rivera, 19, of North Bellmore, and two other passengers, Jessica Levyns, 19, of Bellmore and Tyler Woods, 20 of Massapequa. THey were all charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police also arrested the other man in the transaction, Christopher Dwyer, 24, of Wantagh after a search of his home. Officers found substances believed to be marijuana, cocaine and Methylenedioxy-Methylamphetamine, police said.

Dwyer was charged with criminal sale of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
