Hey, J.H.C....When I was 23, I (not my parents) couldn't afford 'grad school'...I was too busyRead More working not two but three jobs to pay off my student loans...My health insurance was 'pay as you go' - just like millions of americans before me...Get your free-loader off your dole and have her learn to qwork for change and learn how MOST Americans cope with life!

It's a shame when people are so angry that they don't bother to get the facts. MyRead More "freel-loader" daughter lives in her own house, has a full time job and is also paying for her "grad school". Not everyone who doesn't agree with you on every issue is a free-loader. I am proud of how she has learned to cope with life. She like most college students has plenty of student loans that she will pay back on her own. She has been working since she was 14. Try not to be so judge mental . You might just find your a happier and more compassionate person.

Who's the one who's angry? Your daughter lives in her own house, has a full time job, is paying forRead More her grad school...Maybe - at her advanced age- she can pay for her own damn health care instead of OTHER Americans paying for it???...And maybe your comments about priests suggest some anti-semitism just as you suggest my comments indicate I'm angry & uninformed...

I think it's time she fought for for the district she represents. More businesses are closing butRead More she does nothing for East Meadow except to vote to split it in two for the next County Legislature. East Meadow needs help that the Town of Hempstead and Nassau County is not giving.

Don't hold your breath on that one Arty. Norma has someone who works under her make all of herRead More decisions. She does nothing and its time to vote her out.

Most of the time I could see them hanging out in the parking lot of their little "station"Read More on Newbridge & Grand, doing nothing. Perhaps this gave them the time to post self-complimentary articles about themselves on Patch. Why does the Bellmore/Merrick EMS exist when we've got Fire Dept, County Police and local hospital ambulances anyway. Why do they exist?
Stanley Lee November 7, 2012 at 03:45 pm
Tom, Are you for real? This article was put up by the editor of the Patch. Why not ask these guysRead More what they have been doing, my guess much more than you have done. How much volunteering have you done? They are the only group that does not take our tax dollars for their services, and they personally helped my family.

What a GREAT idea for helping the kids in our community to read. Congratulations to Amy and all theRead More thousands that are and have contributed books. The Patch should update when the next book collection is taking place. Go --Book Fairies--
