This is a woman who everyday gets to bring happiness and joy to the residents of Amber Court inRead More Westbury NY. It's not a "job" it’s her calling. As their activities director she organizes daily events to keep smiles on all the seniors she sees every day. She started the first “adopt a Grand Parent” day for those of us who missed our grandparents, we were able to go to visit the seniors there and adopt one to visit – a void that was filled by both. Every year for the past 6 years she holds a Holiday party “Rocking Them off their Rocking Chairs” where all are welcome to visit and bring gifts and sing and dance to holiday tunes, with a live Santa in tow posing with the seniors and just being Jolly for all. She also started the first “Walker-athon” so the seniors could help raise money for Camp Adventure by walking on the grounds of Amber Court. Please if you can donate.. even $1.00 it helps her.
