Its is the string of REPORTED incidents that have left the people shaken. Read the string of…Read More incidents above. Most of them dont match for description, type person etc. Its is VERY possible that the people in these ve3hicles etc, were about to either ask for directions or were slowing down and because of kids in the street or area and just looked at the kids..... (we dont know because they never said ANYTHING) These incidents are very misleading and the consistent reporting makes the parents and children who hear about them VERY nervous. There are legitimate incidents that go on IN the schools that never get reported, ever. But these incidents no matter how mundane get reported thrice over by North Bellmore, Merrick and CHSD. Safety cannot be stressed enough but turning us ALL into deer in the headlights anxious becasue of these stories is not good for the health of the community. Tell us about the bullying incidents and the incidents about when teachers mistreat the students instead so parents like myself can be aware of the REAL problems our kids are facing.

I STRONGLY believe the traffic light / pedestrian light NEEDS to be fixed if the store is opened. I…Read More have a MAJOR problem with the fact that the ONLY way to get the green light for walkers is if you hit the button BEFORE THE LIGHT CYCLES. This is a MAJOR problem when you are teaching young children how to cross a major intersection. The walk light will stay RED when you are in fact able to cross if the button isn't hit BEFORE the cycle. If you walk up to the light right before it changes and are clear to walk you will be walking while the light is telling children NOT to walk. I have a BIG problem with this.... if there is going to be more traffic this needs to be addressed as many children walk to school. Eventually my daughter may be crossing by herself and she needs to have a light that she can trust!

Glad to see they are finally going to see jail time. This case does seem somewhat suspicious that 4…Read More men (Segura from Brooklyn) show up so early in the morning at home whose front door was unlock in North Bellmore. This does not sound like a "random" robbery attempt.

Hard to imagine Boris as a Menace. We have worked with him on numerous occasions and have never felt…Read More any discomfort from him. As a matter of fact when it came time to rebuilding our home from the aftermath of Sandy, we insisted to only work with Boris from Baumblit Construction because of our past experiences!!!

To Nancy: I hope it's not the Eddie you know. But I read part of the story on Newsday.com until I…Read More got ticked off. The headline says it: "$1,000 Bail". Robert Beodeker was driving without a license, kills two people standing by their disabled car and he gets off with a $1,000 bail.
