Top 8 reasons to attend the Rolling River Fall Festival

Rolling River Day Camp's Fall Festival is fast approaching on Saturday, October 26 from 12:00-4:00pm.  This annual, family-friendly free event is a great opportunity for kids and their parents to enjoy numerous fall-themed activities in a fun, local setting.  There are tons of reasons why you should attend the Fall Festival but we narrowed down the list to the top 8 reasons to save the date:

8) Calling all Fall Food Fanatics: Choose from dozens of fresh food options for lunch and snacks including BBQ hot dogs and burgers, corn on the cob, freshly-made pumpkin baked goods, hot empanadas, The Kona Shaved Ice Truck, cotton candy and much more!

7) Activities for All Ages: From toddlers to teens, this festival has something for everyone. Take funny pictures in the photo booth, visit the Rolling River Petting Zoo, get your face painted, create edible art projects or learn how to build Lego robotics.

6) Show off your Camp (or School) Spirit: While hundreds of campers can tell you that RRDC is the best camp around, now is the time to check it out for yourself. Ask for a private tour or just enjoy your day out on our 5 acre riverside campus.  Also stop by the numerous PTA booths sponsored by local elementary schools to fundraise for their exciting school programs.

5) Test Drive your Halloween Costume: Break out your Halloween costume a few days early and enter our Rolling River Costume Contest for great prizes!

4) Shop till you Drop: With over 35 vendors to choose from, browse the latest items in children’s fashions or accessories or learn about all the exciting after-school programs and activities in the community.

3) Delighted by Drama and Dance: In addition to our own in-house DJ spinning the latest hits, two local dance studios will be leading dance workshops and a Long Island theater company will be performing a 15 minute preview of their upcoming show "Cinderella"

2) Good company: There is no better place to meet and mingle with old and new friends then one of our festivals.  This is a time for old campers to reconnect, potential new campers to start to feel at home and the community at whole to have a fantastic fall afternoon- all at no cost.

1) Your Kids Deserve a Break! Between homework and all the demands of schools, your children deserve a day of free rides, inflatables, snacks and entertainment. Don’t be surprised if the parents have just as great a time as the kids!
