Bellmore Girl to Skate With Olympians

A Bellmore girl will get to live out a dream when she skates with former Olympians on Saturday.

Sydney Mason, 11, of North Bellmore, will participate in "The Sing and Skate Against Breast Cancer" at 5 p.m. at CitPond at Bryant Park.

1968 and 1972 U.S. Olympian JoJo Starbuck will emcee the event that will include Olympic competitors Emily Hughes, Kimmie Meissner, Nicole Bobek and Elena Glebova. Singing selections from the broadway bound musical, COLD AS ICE, will be the AMAS Musical Theater teen group and award winning vocalist, Marieann Meringolo. Local aspiring skaters will be performing to live music sung by pop sensation Skye Stevens. 

The show is produced by Breast Cancer survivor Bari Cenname and choreographer Shannon Leigh Lenihan. All net profits from this event will benefit the Breast Cancer Patient Navigation Program at Jacobi Medical Center.
