Calhoun Girls Soccer Falls in Nassau County Championship

The Calhoun High School girls soccer team lost in a tough battle for the Nassau County Championship against Massapequa (15-1-1) at Denton Avenue Tuesday.

Taylor Kugler and Hope Breslin each scored for the Chiefs, and Mackenzie Palmer netted an assist.

Both goaltenders were stellar, as Calhoun's Ally Marcello made 13 saves in the defeat and Massapequa's Katie Hatziyianis made 10 saves to preserve the shutout.

Prior to Calhoun, the Chiefs defeated Hicksville (4-0) and East Meadow (3-0). The Colts topped Plainview JFK (4-1) and MacArthur (2-0) before falling to the Chiefs.
