Bellmore Resident Adam Larkin Captures Tim Brown Invitational

Adam Larken tallied a two-day total of 146 (+2) at Skidmore College.

In the first tournament of the 2013 season, Farmingdale State College senior Adam Larkin, a Bellmore resident, was the individual medalist in the Tim Brown Invitational at Skidmore College.

Larkin posted an opening round of 74 (+2) and trailed the overnight leader Makenzie Denver (Manchester, N.H.) of Skidmore College by two strokes. 

Larkin, who hit 17 of 18 greens in regulation during the final round, carded an even par 72 for a two-day total of 146 (+2). Larkin earned a three stroke victory over runner-up Travis Deuel (73-36-149) of SUNY Cobleskill and finished four ahead of Denver (72-78-150) in the opening tournament of the year.

Skidmore College won the team championship, Salem State finished in second and Farmingdale placed third.

The Rams next will travel to Long Island National Golf Club in Riverhead for the Dowling College Shootout on Sept. 20-21.
