Bellmore United U-11 Soccer team defeats Utica to go to State Finals

On Saturday May 19th, The Bellmore United, a U-11 boys travel soccer team from the Bellmore P.A.L. went to up to Utica NY and defeated the Utica Coliseum 3-2 in the Eastern NY Challenge Cup Semi-finals. The game was a tough battle ending after two overtime periods in the 80 plus degree heat. 

The state cup tournament started in March with 50 teams from long island, NYC, Westchester and upstate NY. Bellmore United had to defeat teams from Long Island, NYC, Westchester and finally Utica to end up in the final match to be played on June 9th at soccer park in Plainview NY
