This week, Bellmore Patch has selected Dean Ostrofsky as the Whiz Kid!
Name: Dean Ostrofsky
School: Kennedy High School
Grade: Sophomore
Key Accomplishment: Ostrofsky has been selected as a member of the New York State National Science Honor Society.
Key to Awesomeness: Ostrofsky is part of the advanced science research program and plans to be working this summer at The Museum of Natural History doing research for this program. Besides studies, Ostrofsky is a member of the Kennedy cross country team, Kennedy spring track team and the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District swim team. Ostrofsky has also been a member of the Newbridge swim team for the past several summers and plans on swimming with them again this summer. He also is a dedicated Boy Scout with the Wantagh Troop 96. He has achieved the rank of life and is working on the next rank, which is Eagle Scout. Ostrofsky has also been been selected into The Order of the Arrow, which an honor in the Boy Scouts. He is dedicated and hard working, he is very easy going and is well liked by his peers and all others that know him. He is polite and respectful.
