SADD Recognizes Those Who Help Others

Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District’s Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) recently hosted an assembly at Grand Avenue Middle School to celebrate the efforts made by students, teachers, administration and staff to make positive decisions.

The assembly included a presentation of the SADD poster contest winners, a mini production by the Grand Avenue Drama Club and a presentation of the Extra Mile Award winners.  

The Extra Mile Award recognizes individuals in the building who regularly go out of their way to help others.  This year’s recipients were Mrs. Rita Calzetta, Mrs. Carrie Perkins-Hamilton and Mr. Dan Fasano.
