Residents Approve North Bellmore School Budget

North Bellmore residents supported the school district’s budget of $48,029,117 million Tuesday night.

The 2011-12 budget, which carries a 4.46 percent tax levy increase, received 1611 yes votes and 936 no votes.

This represents a 2.18 percent increase over last year's.

School Board incumbent Nina Lanci was defeated by newcomer John Ferrara. Nina Lanci received 1061 votes, while John Ferrara received 1078 votes.
