Kennedy Students Raise More Than $1,000 for UCPN

Students take part in fundraising efforts to benefit the United Cerebral Palsy Association.

Kennedy High School students raised more than $1,300 for the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County (UCPN) through fundraising efforts and their third annual Trivia Challenge.

Divided into about 26 teams of four, students and staff worked to answer 100 educational trivia questions covering a range of topics.

Prior to the challenge, participants raised funds from family and friends.

Additionally, several local businesses and the student government contributed gift cards or other items for a raffle. All proceeds from the raffle will go toward benefiting the UCPN.

The UCPN is a nonprofit organization that assists more than1,800 children and adults who have cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.
