Kennedy Celebrates Homecoming

The Cougars posted a homecoming victory against Rockville Centre with a score of 17-0.

Kennedy High School hosted its  "blackout" homecoming celebration last week.

The Cougars posted a homecoming victory against Rockville Centre's South Side High School with a score of 17-O.

Students came together and showed their school spirit at the pep rally, which featured performances from cheerleaders, the kickline and the band, as well as the introduction of the school’s sports teams.

Prior to the game, students attended a festival featuring a variety of food, games, a dunk tank, club tables and a photo booth. Students then headed to the bonfire – a Kennedy homecoming tradition.

“Homecoming capped off a wonderful week of activities at Kennedy,” Principal Lorraine Poppe said. “It brought students, staff, parents and community members together to demonstrate their pride in our school and school community. School spirit was high throughout the week. It was a fun and enjoyable way to start off the year.”
