Bellmore BOE Members Honored

The five members of the school board were recognized for their commitment to the district.

The five members of the Bellmore School District's Board of Education were honored at a recent school board meeting for their hard work and commitment  to the district.

“We appreciate everyone coming out and taking the time to show such support and community,”  Board President Maryanne Kelly said.

During the ceremony, a districtwide chorus featuring students in grades 2-6 performed musical selections for the board. The Bellmore Parent Teacher Association also donated a kiln, which will be housed at the Shore Road School, to the district on behalf of the Board.

The recognition was made to mark the New York State School Boards Association’s School Board Recognition Week, which enables local school boards to be thanked for their volunteer service by their schools and community.
