A Massapequa woman who was spotted carrying a wrench and a license plate was arrested in connection with a Massapequa burglary and a Bellmore auto theft, police said.
Cops saw Danielle Conigliaro, 28, getting out of a car parked near the intersection of Ellen Street and Melrose Avenue in Massapequa carrying the wrench and plate at 1:50 p.m Monday.
Officers went to speak to Conigliaro and she became nervous and fled, police said.
They caught her on Melrose Avenue a brief time later and cops determined she was responsible for a burglary on Melrose avenue and a car theft on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore.
Conigliaro was charged with burglary and grand larceny.
The arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
