Residents Sound Off on North Bellmore Apparent Homicide-Suicide

Residents expressed their sadness and shock on Facebook on the apparent homicide-suicide in North Bellmore on Tuesday.

According to police, four children returned to their North Bellmore home after school on Tuesday afternoon and found their mother dead on the kitchen floor and their father locked in an upstairs bedroom. Police stated that they removed the father from the home, but he passed away later that day. Authorities did not mention how the fatal injuries occurred, but stated it initially appears the father killed the mother.
