Police: Bellmore Store Clerk Sold Beer To Minor

A Bellmore convenience store employee was arrested on charges he sold beer to a minor on Saturday, according to Nassau Police.

According to detectives, Syed Hussain, 63, of Jamaica, while working at Fresh Break Convenience store located at 2736 Merrick Road, sold beer to an 18-year-old male.

Hussain is being charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Degree and Prohibited Sale Alcohol less than 21 years of age.

He was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket returnable on June 26 in First District Court in Hempstead.

The incident was reported as part of a Project 21 sting, which targets the sale of alcohol beverages and tobacco products to minors in Nassau County.
