NEARBY: Students Approached By Stranger in East Meadow

Editor's Note: This article was written by Danielle De Souza.

Two children were approached by a stranger in East Meadow on Tuesday, according to a letter to parents on the Merrick Union Free School District's website.

The children were not harmed.

The students, ages 11 and 12, were approached by a man on Bellmore Road and Granz Court after school.

The man was wearing a ski cap and drove a red four-door sedan with a black stripe.

This week, Nassau County Police released a sketch of a “suspicious person” that’s sought in connection to the string of stranger incidents throughout the Bellmore-Merrick area in April.

Overall, 10 incidents have been reported since April 3, according to police.
