NBFD: Car Fire Reported in Bellmore

North Bellmore firefighters extinguished two cars that were on fire on Olympia Road Wednesday morning. 

There were two cars in the driveway that caught fire at around 3 a.m., and the occupants of the home were evacuated by firefighters shortly after they were alerted of the blaze. Nobody was injured.

The cars were extinguished within minutes of the alarm. According to Mark Collins, the chief of the North Bellmore Fire Department, the fire is being treated as suspicious.

"As of right now, the fire is being investigated by the Nassau County Fire Marshall's office," Collins said. "The cause is undetermined."
