Allen Feldman, the former president of the Bellmore Jewish Center, was arrested on Nov. 20 and charged with second-degree grand larceny by extortion and second-degree possession of a forged instrument in connection to an incident that allegedly took place in September.
Nassau County Police did confirm the arrest, but they did not add additional details pertaining to the charges against Feldman.

Feldman has already appeared twice at First District Court in Hempstead, but in both cases, the hearings were adjourned and he was released on his own recognizance. He is due at First District Court on March 3, 2013.
