Crimes Nearby: Lohan Troubles, Students Followed, Car Break-ins

The following information is taken directly from the Nassau County Police Department's incident reports. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime.

Bellmore

• On Sept. 8, between 10:30 p.m. and 11:25 p.m., property was stolen from complainant’s unlocked vehicle that was parked in the street on Marle Place.
• On Sept. 5, at 6:50 p.m., Angelita Karlic, 37, of North Bellmore, was arrested on Sunrise Highway and charged with DWI.

Merrick

• Dina Lohan, a Merrick resident and mother of Lindsay Lohan, was arrested Thursday after police said she was driving drunk while speeding on the Northern State Parkway. Click here for more.
• A Calhoun High School student reported that she was followed home by a man in a white minivan on Wednesday, according to a message sent by the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District. Click here for more.
• A Camp Avenue School student was approached by a stranger on Tuesday, according to a message sent by the North Merrick School District. Click here for more.
• On Aug. 23, at 5 p.m., a victim living on Henry Street did send money via Western Union to an unknown caller claiming to be from the government.

Levittown

• An underage agent entered three locations, including the Walmart Market in Levittown and the Levittown Deli in Hicksville, and purchased alcohol without being properly identified, according to police. Click here for more.
• A Queens man was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly impersonated a police officer and used bad checks to buy more than $2,000 jewelry in Woodmere and Levittown. Click here for more.
• On Aug. 20, mechanical tools were stolen from a home on Skylark Lane in Levittown.
• On Sept. 4, a car on Harvest Lane was broken into and cash was stolen.
• On Sept. 8, between 1:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., a tire gauge and binoculars were stolen from a car on Scholar Lane.
• On Sept. 8, at 9:45 p.m., cash was stolen from a car Coppersmith Road.
