Crime Report: Stolen Items and a DWI Arrest
Recent police activity as reported by the 7th Precinct.
- On Sept. 30, the second floor rear window of a home on Ira Road was broken into. Photo equipment and jewelry were allegedly stolen.
- A complainant reported the larceny of a stero from her 1969 Chevy on Bedell Street on Oct. 1.
- Wendy Cavanaugh, 39, of Louisiana was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd while being arrested by U.S. Marshalls at the Bellmore Post Office. Emergency Services Unit, Nassau County Fire Marshalls and HAZMAT were also called to the scene after it was reported sodium cyanide was in her vehicle.
- On Oct. 2, Franklyn Aviles, 20, of North Bellmore was arrested at Judith Drive and Jason Drive in Bellmore and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and two violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
