Crime Report: Drug Bust, Suspicious Vehicle

Two Bellmore men were arrested Thursday night after Nassau County Police observed them allegedly conducting a drug sale in a grocery store parking lot. Click here for more on that story.

  • On Tuesday, a suspicious vehicle was spotted outside of Dinkelmeyer Elementary School around dismissal time. For more on this, including a description of the driver and the vehicle, click here.
  • Sometime between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 11, the side door and ignition system of a vehicle were damaged while the automobile was parked at the Bellmore LIRR station.
  • Also on Jan. 11 at the Bellmore LIRR station, between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., another vehicle's side door was damaged while it was parked in the commuter lot.
  • Sometime between midnight on Jan. 12 and 11 a.m. on Jan. 13, a vehicle that was parked on Soifer Avenue in North Bellmore was keyed.
  • On Jan. 12, at 1:40 p.m., Debra Omasta, 43 of Bellmore, was arrested at Walmart in the Sunrise Mall and charged with Petit Larceny.
  • Sometime between 8 p.m. on Jan. 11 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 12, an unknown suspect threw eggs at the complainant's vehicle. When the complainant was washing the vehicle, he discovered they caused damage to the paint.
