Crime Report: Car Crimes Continue, Graffiti and a DWI

Recent police activity in Bellmore as reported by the 1st and 7th Precincts.

  • Between 11 a.m. on Feb. 24 and 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 a suspect used graffiti on an establishment on the corner of Newbridge Road and Grand Avenue. 
  • At approximately 10 p.m. on Feb. 27, license plates were stolen from a vehicle while parked on Bellmore Avenue.
  • The driver side door of a vehicle was keyed while parked on Wilson Avenue between 8 p.m. on Feb. 27 and 9 a.m. on Feb. 28.
  • On March 3, Jayson Hernandez, 23, of Massapequa, was arrested on Sunrise Highway eastbound and Bellmore Avenue in Bellmore and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle 3rd, and two violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
  • The upstairs window of an Abbey Court residence was broken on March 5 at approximately 9 p.m.
