Crime Report: Bellmore Man Arrested for Gun Possession, Bikes Stolen

The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department; it does not indicate a conviction.

  • The window of a vehicle parked on Jerusalem Avenue and Little Neck Avenue was broken on July 13.
  • On July 14, an unlocked bike was stolen outside of CVS on Bellmore Avenue.
  • Sometime between July 16 and July 18, a statue at the Knights of Columbus building on Bellmore Avenue was broken by an unknown suspect.
  • A bike was removed from a unlocked, detached garage on Grand Avenue on July 16.
  • On July 16, graffiti was found on Bedford Avenue. 
  • A vehicle while parked in a driveway on Beltagh Avenue was egged and the sunroof was damaged sometime between July 20 and July 21.
  • Three men, including one from Bellmore, were arrested after they were allegedly found with weapons in their vehicle in South Farmingdale on July 23.
  • A Bellmore man was arrested on July 21 after he allegedly had his Pit Bull attack a woman.
  • The man who shot Kevin Brennan, a Mepham graduate and NYPD Detective, was sentenced to up to 40 years to life in prison on July 23.
