Update: Bellmore Woman Reported Missing Found

Maria D. Santiago was last seen Saturday night near her Bellmore residence.

Maria D. Santiago, 70, of Bellmore was found on Sunday, according to police. 

Nassau County Police have issued a Silver Alert for Santiago who was last seen Saturday around 11 p.m.

Nassau County Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Bellmore woman last seen Saturday around 11 p.m. 

According to cops, Maria D. Santiago, 70, could be heading towards Babylon Village via Sunrise Highway. She's in need of her medication for high blood pressure and Alzheimer's. 

Santiago is a white hispanic, 4-foot-11, 113 pounds with brownish red hair and brown eyes. She speaks Spanish. She was last seen wearing a brown hooded coat, white sneakers and blue jeans. If you see her, please call police.

The Silver Alert Program has been established in order to disseminate immediate information to local media, hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.
