Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg, D-Merrick, presented Good Samaritan Awards to former Bellmore Fire Chief John Curley, his son John Curley, Jr. and current Bellmore Fire Chief Daniel Holl at a Nassau County legislative session in Mineola on Dec. 17 for risking their lives to rescue a 93-year-old Bellmore resident from a fire after superstorm Sandy.
