Bellmore Fire Department Responds to Kitchen Fire on Legion Street

Nobody was injured and the small fire was quickly extinguished.

The Bellmore Fire Department responded to a small kitchen fire on Legion Street Tuesday night.

At approximately 8 p.m. the department helped contain and extinguish the fire, which broke out just moments earlier.

According to the fire department, nobody was injured and the Nassau County Fire Marshal is currently investigating the fire.

The area surrounding Legion Street was blocked off so that the fire department could tend to the fire.

Several fire engines and two ambulances were on hand for cautionary measures.
