Victory Can Be Yours if You Push Hard Enough

If you put in the work, you will see results.

"The only place that success comes before work is in the dictionary."

First I would like to say that I had my first weigh-in at the Bellmore Personal Training Institute last week and I am down 1.4 pounds! Before training at Bellmore PTI, I started working towards losing weight on my own and now I am down a total of 13 pounds.

This week, I saw a definite change in myself. I started to push myself to the limit. The wonderful trainers at Bellmore PTI are always rooting me on and motivating me, but I found motivation from within.  When you start taking care of yourself and seeing the results, you start putting your all into your weight loss process.

My favorite machine at the gym is the Nautilus Treadclimber. It is a treadmill and an elliptical machine all in one. After about 20 minutes on it, you can burn a total of 300 calories and your dripping with sweat. I usually do 30 minutes to burn about 500 calories, but this week, that was not good enough. I thought that if I can do 30 minutes then I could definitely do 40 and the next day, I ended up doing an hour on the machine, plus my 30 minute circuit training. I burned more than 1,000 calories in 90 minutes.

I ate well all week, I am no longer tempted by fatty foods, I drink only water and look forward to my workouts. What I learned is that I can accomplish my weight loss goals and I have no excuse not to. At a training session last week, a woman came into the gym with her two small children. She even walked on the treadmill at a steady pace while holding her toddler. If she can take of herself while taking care of two babies, I have  absolutely no excuse.

When you make an effort to improve your health, other areas of your life start to improve. Your relationships with others, your job experiences and your attitude will change. I know that I can accomplish my weight loss goals or any goal for that matter.

This journey has taught me that I was the only person standing in my way in past. If I push through, I can get where I need to be. This is about more than losing weight, this is proving to me that I strong physically and mentally. I can do anything and so can you!
