Margaret Audrey Altherr, a former North Bellmore resident, passed away peacefully on Nov. 9 at her son's home. She was 85.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in North Bellmore, Altherr was a bookkeeper most of her life, last working for Sebago Glass in Bay Shore.
Her real passion and work, though, was her devotion to her four children and seven grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Philip Altherr.
She is cherished by her four children and their spouses; Michael Altherr, Elizabeth Smith and her husband James, Stacey Altherr, and John Altherr and his wife Donna Mino.
She is loved and adored by her seven grandchildren; Rebecca, Amelia, Luke, Tania, Jack, Roman and Theo.
