Weekly Recap: Murder-Suicide, Woman Sentenced for Killing Ex-Husband

  1. UPDATE: Apparent Murder-Suicide in North Bellmore: Nassau Police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide in a North Bellmore home. Cops named Felice Stanco, 60, and Carolina Stanco, 61, as the deceased.
  2. North Bellmore Woman Gets Seven Years for Murdering Ex-Husband: A North Bellmore woman was sentenced to seven years in jail Friday after she stabbed her ex-husband to death and left his body on the Wantagh Parkway bike path in November of 2011.
  3. New 'Spider-Man' to be Filmed at Grumman: “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” will be filmed in part at Bethpage and will need thousands of local extras.
  4. NY State Drivers' Licenses Going to Black and White: Beginning in July, New York State will change the look of its drivers' licenses in a move to reduce forgeries that lead to identity theft, underage drinking and possible terrorist attacks. 
  5. North Bellmore Ed Foundation Pleads for Summer Program: About eight years ago Rose Davis organized a not for profit group called the “North Bellmore Educational Foundation, to provide enrichment, academic and sports support to the local school district.
