The Long Island Curling Club will host an open house in Bellmore on Friday night.
The event will take place at the Newbridge Arena at 2600 Newbridge Road from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Attendees will be introduced to curling and other basics of the sport. Participants are asked to wear warm, loose-fitting clothes, thin gloves and flat, gripping tennis-type shoes with warm socks. Adults will need to sign a waiver for children under 18-years-old.
